A beautiful restaurant that is very dear to me is now looking for a Head Chef to take over the helm at our Michelin Star awarded restaurant in Ripley, Surrey. The restaurant has 30 covers and private dining room for 10, with a bar and garden. The role is an excellent opportunity to take control of an iconic restaurant that is privately owned and opens Wednesday to Saturday only.
This would suit an existing head chef or strong sous chef with Michelin/Rosette experience. We are a small, friendly team and work with the best suppliers.
Requirements:
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Creativity and an excellent palate
- Ability to oversee and manage kitchen operations
- Passion for food, drink and the hospitality industry
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily operations in the kitchen, including food hygiene and health and safety
- Managing and training a team
- Stock control
- Producing a seasonal, sustainable menu within budget
